Tell us a little about you
I am an Animal Scientist and thoroughly enjoy working with people, towards targets, and within the Animal Health Industry. I get a great buzz out of working in the commercial world. My work has to include people AND Animals! Over the years I have lived in Ireland, the UK, Germany, and the USA. Plus I have traveled and worked in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the US and explored all around South East Asia.
These days I live in Dublin with my husband and two children plus our dog. I like to keep fit with a variety of sports.
Where did your career start and how did it evolve to where you are now?
I began my Animal Health career working in research and I have also worked on the commercial side as a business specialist for veterinary product development.
I have a strong interest in people as well as animals and have a HR qualification too. This has helped me to pool my knowledge together very effectively to support recruitment for animal-related businesses in my role as a recruitment consultant at Noble Futures.

This is a great industry. There is opportunity everywhere and in my experience it is full of extremely friendly, helpful and genuine people.
Like-minded people who love animals have gathered together to work in this industry and often you will find that you share the same hobbies or interests as your peers or colleagues, which is great.
What do you look for in a candidate?
Genuine individuals. The right attitude for the business I am recruiting for.
What is the one thing you think every CV should have?
…..The correct phone number! Tailor your CV to the role you are applying for.
What is your top career advice?
Try to get really clear on what it is that you are looking for. What will give you career satisfaction? What drives you? Where do you want to spend your energy?
This will help to build your individual purpose and why you get up in the morning to go to work and have a career. Know your own strengths and be prepared to develop your identified weaknesses if this is needed for a role.
